CD Review: Adele Looks To Break Records With New Album

How do you follow up one of the biggest selling albums of the last decade? Of course, by producing an even bigger selling album and there are only a handful of artists that have that capability. One such artist is Adele, who's album "21" has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, and won seven Grammy Awards, including "Album Of The Year." After taking most of the last two years off from being in the spotlight, Adele has returned with a brand-new album "25." The titled refers to her age at the beginning of recording the album (she is currently only 27 years old).

The new album was released on November 20th through XL Recordings in association with Columbia Records and has recently broke the record for sales in a single week with over 3 million copies sold in the U.S. along. The new eleven-song release is lead by the #1 single, "Hello" that has everyone from Miss Piggy to Matthew McConaughey performing a spoof of the now famous video. As you dive deeper into the album, you realize that Adele is just as great a songwriter as she is a singer, with her up-beat revenge song "Send My Love (To You New Lover)" and the empowering "Water Under The Bridge." She can still grab hold of your heart with the piano ballad "Remedy" and take you to the church of love with the gospel driven "River Lea." The album finishes with the amazingly heartfelt vocals of the folk appeal of "Million Years Ago" and the big sounding, rock ballad "Sweetest Devotion."
