CD Review: Cleopatra Records Pays Tribute To American Soldiers With World's Top Guitarists

From Emmy Award winning producer/composer Brian Tarquin ("Guitar Masters") comes this latest release on Cleopatra Records entitled "Guitars For Wounded Warriors." The album features ten of the most highly skilled instrumental guitarist performing exclusive songs to the release for America's fallen soldiers. This eleven-song release puts together some amazing guitar work provided by members of Guns N Roses, Whitesnake, Mr. Big, Megadeth, Dire Straits and others.

Beginning with the guitar skills of Brian Tarquin on "Black Hawk," he is joined by the most electrifying bassist Billy Sheehan on this quick, up-tempo rocker. Next Bumblefoot and Reb Beach trade licks in the intense music of "Taliban Terror." Surf-guitarist Gary Hoey showcases his heavier side on "5 Klicks To Hell" as he slows the tempo down. Things really pick up with Chris Poland at the controls on the heavy metal feel of "Hunting." The album closes with Chuck Loeb stepping out of his comfort zone for a more rock approach to "Escape Kabul" and Steve Morse giving "Feedom" a patriotic, progressive rock feel.
