CD Review: Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs Losen Up On New Album

From Georgia comes the latest release from the Americana/roots rock of Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs. Their new album entitled "All Her Fault" will be released on March 4 through Transdreamer Records and takes their music in a different direction then their previous releases.

The twelve songs that make up the new album have a natural, raw, first-take feel that gives the music a very real, authentic sound. Beginning with their displeasure of Salt Lake City, the song "SLC" gets things headed in a country roots direction. The song "For All That Ails You" has a bluesier feel as Holly and Lawyer Dave (The Brokeoffs) pour their all into this performance. They pick the tempo up with a punk-rock pace for "Can't Pretend," before settling back into the country saloon sound of "Bless Your Heart." Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs put their stamp on a drunkers' plee with "Don't Shed Your Light," then finish up with the slow blues of "Perfect Mess" and the rockabilly fun of "King Lee."

Holly Golightly & The Brokeoffs will be bringing their new album on tour beginning April 10 in Greenville, SC. For a complete list of tour dates and to find out more about the new album, please visit
