CD Review: Heavy Metal Band Throwdown Find "Intolerance" On New Album

From California comes the latest release from the hardcore heavy metal band Throwdown entitled "Intolerance." The album will be released on January 21 through eOne Music and is the band's first album of new material in five years. Vocalist Dave Peters stated that this is going to be a "hard record for longtime fans."

Throwdown come blasting out of the gate, starting off with a quick two-minutes of hard-hitting, in your face, metal with "Fight or Die." They find the perfect metal groove with the guitar riff-filled "Avow," before attacking your eardrums with the machine-gun drumming of "Hardened By Consequences" and the vocal screams of "Defend With Violence." Peters howling vocals in "Cut Away" followed by the buzzsaw guitars of "Intolerance" is the perfect one-two punch of metal power on the album. They finish up with fist-pumping mainstream hard rock sound of "Born And Buried Alone" and the final blast of energetic furry with "Condemned To Live."
