CD Review: New Hard Rock Music From Trash The Brand Has A Classic Touch

What started out as an acoustic duo performing cover songs has grown into one of the hottest underground trios from Tennessee, Trash The Brand. They released their debut album back in June through 3Suns Entertainment and it is beginning to capture the ears of rock radio everywhere.

The eleven songs that make up the album have that Los Angeles "Sunset Strip" swagger with the hard rock edge of the late-eighties. The opening song "Souls On My Shoes" contains an infectious guitar groove with a chorus that is just great to sing along to. The album's single, "Larry and the Blue Dog (Devil's Ride)," builds up the band's sound with this arena-type rocker, while "Weak Like Me" showcases the band's more mainstream sound. Trash The Brand bring out their brand of "swamp rock" on "Bad Bad Boy" with this edgy southern rocker with attitude. If you crossed the raw, straight-up hard rock of Guns 'N Roses with the southern feel of Jackyl, you get songs like "Low Down" and "Damn Sho Talk About You."

Trash The Brand have a few upcoming shows in January. To find out more about this exciting new band, please visit
