CD Review: New Extended Plays From Newcomers Babylon Saints And Also Ferris & The Wheels

Reggae rockers Babylon Saints return with their latest 5-song EP entitled "Chameleon". Their music is always laid back as they get their summer groove going with "Babylon." The Babylon Saints run along the same musical vein as Sublime and The Dirty Heads with the island flavor of "Standing By." The beat of "The Upsetter" is very light and uptempo, before closing the album with the seven-minute guitar-filled rock/reggae of "We Fit Together."

The Babylon Saints have a few shows scheduled for the new year out in California. To find out more about this great underground rock band, please visit

From Nashville, TN comes the debut EP from Ferris & The Wheels entitled "Hollow." This five-song release is highly anticipated due to its successful anti-bullying video for the song "Can't By Yourself." The song's upbeat tempo and positive message is the perfect recipe for success. They move into a more grunge rock direction with "Hollow" as they pull off a Weezer sound-alike, but its the straight-up rock of "Let's Get Into Something" that make them truly original.

The new album "Hollow" was released on December 17 and is available at To find out more, please visit their Facebook page at
