CD Review: Seth Walker Looks To Change With "Time"

From Nashville, TN; via Austin, TX comes singer/songwriter Seth Walker with a new album entitled “Time Can Change.” This new set of songs finds Walker experimenting with lyrics and treading into unfamiliar musical territory. Since his last album in 2009, Walker has had a whole new world of experiences (both geographically and philosophically) and this album is the result of his latest journey.

Beginning with “Love Is Through With Me,” we find Seth Walker down with the blues on this acoustic song as he becomes comfortable with his new surroundings. His vocals on “Stronger Than You Need To Be” become the focus as you notice an experienced tone to his delivery. Walker adds a jazzy vibe to “Found Myself Lost” and “Before It Breaks” as he shows us some of his guitar licks. A laid-back, island feel is heard in “Wait A Minute,” before switching gears for the romantic sounds of “All This Love.” The album closes with the upbeat jive of “More Days Like This” as Walker gives one of his best pop vocal performances.

Seth Walker will be on tour beginning June 23 opening for Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd & The Monsters. His new album was released on June 19 through Roe Records. For more information, check out sethwalker.com.
