CD Review: Switzerland's Archers And Arrows Are New On The Punk Music Scene

From Switzerland comes Archers And Arrows with their self-titled debut EP. Their sound fits in perfectly with the American punk scene. The lead-off song “It’s So Cool, We Will Die All Together” sounds like a cross between classic NOFX and Face To Face. The band takes a break from their punk sound to take on more progressive rock sound on “Swan Song.” A great song, but doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the song on this EP. They finish with a heavier punk sound on “Truncated Humanism,” then close the album with 99 seconds of a heavy-hitting punk attack with “The Young Carpetbaggers.”

Archers and Arrows have a handful of dates lined-up in March in their home country, but look for them to add more dates soon. They will also be entering the studio soon to record their follow-up album. For more information, check out the band’s facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/archersandarrows.
