CD Review: Amy Heffernan Gives Her Opinion On "Friggin Little Know It All"

From Canada comes singer/songwriter Amy Heffernan with her latest release "Friggin Little Know It All." The new album fits in perfectly with today's pop artists like Katy Perry or Lady Gaga. One of the things that Amy has going for her is she has a positive attitude toward her music career and it reflects in her songwriting.

The album's first song "Ignorant Pig" is one of those great pop, rock revenge songs that haven't come around since Alanis Morissette's "You Outta Know." Amy has a way of creating anthems with attitude as with "Friggin' Little Know It All" and "Being Awesome." She tries to slow down with "I Do," but her performing strength lies in her up-beat, dance, pop sound as in the single "Dance Ourselves Sober." Amy closes her album with a cover of Boney M's "Rasputin" which comes across with mixed results as she doesn't seem to fit the complete dancehall vibe. The song seems to be missing her rock attitude.

Amy Heffernan is currently on tour in Canada through to November. Please check out her website, for song samples and more information on her new album.
