Connecticut Bands Come Together For A Good Cause

Fair Weather Records have just released a compilation to benefit childhood cancer. The compilation is entitled “The Kids Are Alright” and was put together for the Tommy Fund out of New Haven, CT. The Tommy Fund has made a world of difference in the lives of family and friends affected by childhood cancer. For more information on this fund, please visit

This compilation features many great Connecticut bands like indie rockers Hostage Calm, Transit and Bomb The Music Industry. While this compilation carries a mostly hardcore rock vibe, there are some that stray from the format like Midi & the Modern Dance and Fugue. It also features some wonderful instrumentals by Wess Meets West and The Files & Fires. But the overall compilation is a great soundtrack to what is out there for Connecticut hardcore punk/indie rock bands.

All the money sold for this album will go to the Tommy Fund. For more information on this release, head over to Fair Weather Records’ Facebook page (
