CD Review: Tristan Clopet Said To "Name It What You Want"

Singer/songwriter Tristan Clopet has just released his debut album entitled "Name It What You Want". The album comes out on the heels of his successful "Living Room Sessions" and features production help from Raymond Richards (Local Natives) and Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend).

The album's first single "A Chat With My Brain" has a catchy chorus with some great tempo changes to break-up the song's pop sound. Tristan continues down that alternative/pop road with "When You Were Younger" before branching out with the more experimental "Idiosyncrasies of the Resolute" which challenges his song-writing. The extended musical breaks shows off the wonderful musicianship and takes the song out of the pop genre. The song "Toutes Directions" has a great sound that combines acoustic rock with some country piano to make it the strongest, most enlightening song on the album.

Tristan Clopet just finished up his "Name It What You Want" tour with a couple of dates in the south. Visit his website ( for song samples, videos and upcoming tour dates.
