CD Review: Never Shout Never Reaches Back With "Year One"

While Never Shout Never (Chistofer Ingle) is readying his follow-up to 2010's successful album "Harmony", Warner Bros. Records decided to release all of Never Shout Never's early recordings. The new release entitled "Year One" combines the "Me & My Uke EP", "30 Days" single, the "Demo-shemo EP" and five exclusive tracks into one CD.

This album shows a simpler, more attractive side to Ingle's song-writing talents. The album begins with the gentle touches of "Heregoesnothin" and "Bigcitydreams". Ingle expands on his acoustic sound beginning with "Smelyalata". His voice and wonderful lyrics are enough to carry simple acoustic songs like "Dare4Distance" and "30 Days". The second half of the album is full of demos as you get a different perspective of some of his early songs like "Shesgotstyle". The album closes with his most experimental song "Loversloveliarslie" which is more along the lines with his last full-length album.

Never Shout Never is spending the summer in Brazil before heading back into the studio. Visit his website ( for a complete list of tour dates as well as up-to-date information on this rising musical star.
