CD Review: Lost In Society Give Us "Hope"

New Jersey rockers Lost In Society recently released their latest album entitled "Give Me Your Hope". They are currently on tour and will be performing two shows in Connecticut. They will be at Snapper Magee's in Torrington on June 25 and at the Heirloom Arts Theater on July 8.

The music on their new release brings the classic sound of punk rock into modern day with heart-pounding drums and shout-out chorus. The song "Not Afraid" sounds like a early Social Distortion song of rebellion. The simple lyrics of "Sweat" gets energized by the band's musical prowess. The band gives a nod to mainstream alternative rock with "Not My Day" and "Can't Speak" as the try to expand on the punk rock sound.

On July 9, Lost In Society will be joining fellow punk/alternative rockers Bouncing Souls for an epic performance at New York's Highline Ballroom. Check out the band's website ( for more information on these shows as well as song samples and videos from the new album.
