CD Review: Matt White Shows Us "It's The Good Crazy"

Singer/songwriter Matt White returns with his sophomore follow-up "It's The Good Crazy." The album is filled with piano riffs and hook-filled vocals. Matt's song-writing has definitely grown on his new album as he seems to "hit the nail on the head" with his pop-friendly sound.

Don't make the mistake of writing off Matt White as another pop singer. His melodies are catchy and his lyrics are thought-provoking stories. He introduces you to his new album with the up-tempo "And The Beat Goes On" which just grows on you the more you listen to it. Matt tries to portray his feelings of passion on "She's On Fire" and "When I Fall." He seems to have fun and enjoy performing and that gets echoed through his songs "Colorblind" and the Paul Simon sounding "Honeymoon Phase." The album's lead single "Falling In Love (With My Best Friend)" draws similarities to Jack Johnson with his song-writing talents shining through.

Matt White has dates scheduled for the next month including a date in Connecticut on November 13. Visit Matt White website ( for a complete list of tour dates and album information.
